Recently, at Port City Community Church, we concluded a series about finishing well entitled, “That’s A Wrap.” On the last Sunday of the series we talked about a key component in finishing well-REFLECTION. We said that “Reflection helps us deal with the past so that we can look to what God is doing in the future.”
So many of us avoid times of reflection because it forces us to face truth about ourselves. Facing truth can sometimes be uncomfortable-it causes us to deal with reality…not just our own idealistic perspective. If we want to move forward in our walk with God, then we’ve got to be honest about where we’ve been.
We’d love for you to spend some time in reflection between now and the end of the year by taking a guided personal spiritual retreat. Our desire is that you would set aside 2 hours, distraction free (i.e. no devices or interruptions) and spend time with God using this very helpful guide that we’ve created. We pray that through this journey, you will allow God to show you where you’ve been, as well as where he wants to lead you in 2015.
To learn more about the 2 hour challenge, check out this post from the PC3 Blog. And be sure to watch the brief intro video by our Senior Pastor, Mike Ashcraft before you begin.
Happy Endings!
-Danny
Thanks Danny for your faithfulness, this is painful but necessary. With closure to 2014 we can experience God’s miracles for 2015.
Thanks for the encouragement, Edward. I appreciate you very much! I too am looking forward to seeing what The Lord does in 2015!
