Tuesday is always a crazy day for me because I have meetings all day long. But even though my schedule is slammed today, I feel great because it’s cold outside and I get to wear my favorite hoodie that I bought in Laguna Beach, CA.
In the picture above, not only am I wearing my Laguna hoodie, but I’m wearing my favorite pair of jeans… okay, they’re my only pair of jeans; the problem is, they make me look like I have no butt. I don’t care, because the only person that needs to be concerned about my butt is my wife, and she knows I have one!
Clothes…fortunately, we all wear them. I don’t own a lot of clothes, mainly because I can’t afford them. But I do have a few favorites, like my U2 t-shirt:
I like this shirt for lots of reasons: 1. U2 is one of my favorite bands, 2. It has sentimental value because it reminds me of an awesome concert, and 3. it’s black (and we all know that black makes us look thinner).
We’ve all got clothes that make us feel good and look good. I’ve got certain clothes that remind me I need to loose weight (maybe I should wear those more often). I know just what shirt to put on if I want my stomach look “flatter” instead of “fatter”.
So, what’s the point? Most of us wear clothes to either cover things up or show things off. Mine is the former. For the record, I have nothing worth “showing off”.
How about you? What are you wearing today, and why? Are you covering up or showing off? If you are covering something up, what is it, and why?
Here’s a thought: We can cover up a lot of things today, but at the end of the day, what we’re covering up will still be there.
