Welcome:
My name is Danny Rogers and I would like to thank you for stopping by DannyRogers.TV. It’s an honor to share my life with you in the pages of this blog. My life-long mission statement is simple: Sharing and Inspiring Life. As you read these entries, my hope is that you would be inspired to know the Living God, intimately.
Most of us are looking for God to show up in the “extraordinary” moments of life. However, in my own walk with God, I’ve learned to see Him working more in the “ordinary” moments. I believe that as Christ follower, once we begin to recognize God at work in the “ordinary”, He becomes more real to us than ever. And it is at this point in our journey when we truly begin to experience a richer and fuller life-just like Jesus talked about in John 10:10, “The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but I have come that you may have life and have it to the full.”
May the living God become more alive to you than ever, and through the ordinary moments of life, may He do something extraordinary within you.
Peace, Love, and Fried Chicken,
-Danny
About Me:
I’m a Christ-follower. My wife, Karri, and I were married in 1996; we have two amazing children that continually teach us a great deal about God’s unconditional love. We’re originally from the New Orleans area, but feel right at home on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina (though we still miss crawfish!).
I am the Campus Pastor at Port City Church New Bern-an awesome multi-site community that is passionate about reaching people and helping them walk with God. I love to learn, I love to teach, and I’m passionate about communicating God’s truth in a relevant way so that it can be applied to practical use in everyday life. I graduated with a B.A. from Leavell College in New Orleans, LA, and earned a Masters Degree in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
My hobbies include: sailing, fishing, S.C.U.B.A. diving, and writing music. Deep down, I’m a Jimmy Buffet wannabe!
